GIEP High School Connecting Program Report

Today, me and my team finished the global connecting program with National Tainan Chia Chi Senior High School. We have shared various culture of each other’s countries for 4 months.  In this post, I will briefly show you what activities we did with National Tainan Chia Chi Senior High School.

These are photos we took while we have international exchange activities.

We were divided into ‘cook cook’, ‘music and dance mate’, ‘city online tour’, and ‘my school life’ teams. We periodically uploaded activity videos on a site called flip and interacted with the other school. We filmed, edited, and uploaded the video diligently even when the exam was just around the corner.

And, we had two Zoom meetings with our counterpart school. At the first meeting, we had a self-introduction time and talked about future activities. During the second meeting, everyone gave a final presentation. Me and my team, cook cook 1-2 members presented about traditional Korean food that can be found in Korean convenience stores. I was very happy that the students from the Taiwan school who heard our team’s presentation applauded loudly.

In fact, during our zoom meetings, the internet often cut out, and our English was not really perfect. However, we worked hard on this activity until the end, and thanks to that, we were able to finish the activity really happily. I am so grateful to our GIEP team members who followed me, who was not that perfect leader, through the four months of activity, and I would like to express my gratitude to the Taiwanese school students for interacting with us. I was very happy to be able to experience the culture of another country, and I would definitely like to participate in this activity again next year if I have a chance.
